I joined Dad Channel last year, a YouTube channel aimed at showing parenting from a dad’s point of view through ten different vloggers. We create at least two vlogs a month, with themes set for us and it’s fascinating to see how different the results are.
Part of the reason I set up this site was to dismiss the notion that some childhood ‘experts’ peddle that there is a one-size-fits-all solution to parenting. That’s clearly not true, but many of them have made a mint from pretending to know all the answers. I reckon that the varying experiences expressed in the videos from the different dads shows that rearing kids is much more complicated than some would have you believe.
We have so much in common and are so different at the same time.
