You don’t need me to tell you that a sleeping child makes a happier household, so if you are currently propping your eyes open with matchsticks, you might be interested in a bedtime book written by a Swedish psychologist. The Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep has been created in a such a style that its author claims it will send children to sleep in minutes. Of course, they could just take a look at a couple of pages from The Da Vinci Code to achieve a similar effect.
Carl-Johan Forssen Ehrlin insists that the pattern of the words combined with the pictures and a slow reading voice, interspersed with yawns, will calm children and see them well on their way to dreamland before they are through the publication’s 26 pages.
The book stars Roger Rabbit and his friends, who all attempt to help him get some kip, and shot to the top of the best sellers chart on Amazon after its release. Now, if someone will just write a book that stops babies filling their nappies in the most public and inconvenient places possible, they’ll become a millionaire!
PS. I must admit, I quite often fake a few yawns during bedtime (sometimes there is no need to fake). I’ve no idea whether it works, but seeing as a psychologist has now advocated it, I feel marginally less stupid.
